A Brilliant Little Machine
I am writing this review on an Apple MacBook, brought from new from Apple in 2016. I have used it for MSc study and for a job that lasted two years. It is silent, lightweight and portable. It is running the latest version Mac OS Big Sur and a subscription to MS Office. Everything works.One negative is that I had to replace the batteries and this was not cheap. But I don’t need another laptop for the next three or so years. The other negative is that if you want to plug it into anything else, a screen, external disk etc. a dongle/hub will be required. But if you want a truly portable machine, this is it. So good Apple had to kill it because it was undermining the Mac Air.

Great machine overall, but poor battery power
I always loved this MacBook model- it’s ultra compact and light, great if you’re often on the go. The battery life is quite poor, though this model is a few years old. Otherwise, working well.

Wrong colour
I ordered the rose gold laptop but got sent the dark grey colour. When I first received it took 45 minutes to even come on and the battery kept dieing really fast. I’ve updated it all now and signed it etc and it’s been fine I’m happy with this product now. Wasn’t really happy about the colour as I wanted rose gold but I need it mainly for work so not too bothered now
