  1. Old struggling cyclist.

    Key problems.
    I received this laptop promptly. It’s a used machine so does show small signs of usage. The machine booted quickly and everything worked well until you tried to change the brightness or volume. The hotkeys didn’t work. I then contacted the supplier and got one of their engineers (John Grant). He remotely logged in and tried various things and failed. Over the weekend he reproduced the error and worked out the fix, on Monday morning he remotely logged in and fixed the issue.In short, the service I received was superb. During the conversation I was told that I could return and refund or exchange for a different laptop. However, his diligence paid off and I now have a working laptop and the actions to take if I ever need to rebuild it.Services:HP Hotkey UWP Service : StopChange startup from automatic to disabledInstall: Sp91903.exe

    Didn’t work.
    I’m sure the machine is wonderful if you manage to get one that works. However, the one that was delivered to me would not boot up. It just sat there. It feels a very nice machine and I’m sure when it’s working properly it’s great. However, this one wasn’t.On the plus side, the power LED looks nice. That’s the only thing I managed to get working. But it’s rather an expensive LED if that’s all you want. I’ve since ordered another HP laptop of a different type, this one also doesn’t work so that’s gone back as well….. and no it’s not something I’m doing, I’ve been a technician for years so I’m more than capable of setting up a new laptop. I can only imagine HP have got some serious quality control issues.

    Excellent, very happy with laptop.
    I waited a while before posting the review, I have had the laptop a few months now and I love it. Everything works, it is fast and functional. As regards the refurbished aspect, there are only a few scuffs on the case here and there (hardly visible), and there is a very faint line on the “white” of the screen that is hardly ever visible (I cannot see it as I type this, even when I’m looking for it, I only notice it on occasion in certain ambient light). I am delighted with it and would 100% purchase again from the seller. (the grey marks on the left of keyboard on photo are not scuffs, they’re my poor editing skills 🙂 )

    8GB RAM – Way too slow to operate normally
    Returned for a refund. Buyer beware. I have a laptop with 8GB RAM and a similar processor. I wanted to replace it with something similar and thought this would be a good choice and spec. I’ve bought renewed laptops and PCS before through various buyers on Amazon with pleasing results. Not this time sadly. On arrival the system is painfully slow, slower than the laptop I am replacing. The renewed test results included within the laptop package indicate it is running ok. It’s simply not fit for purpose. Raised a return and have sent back. The seller also states in their documentation that I must pay return postage. Buyer beware, as this goes against the consumer contract regulations 2014, which states when buying online that the seller is responsible for all return postage fees if the item is faulty. Seems this seller has written their own law on returns.

    This is NOT FULL HD, only much poorer HD screen
    Did not appreciate the fact this was listed as a Full HD machine to then find on delivery that it was just much lower HD spec. Very poor show and questions whether anyone checks these refurbished listings for accuracy.
